The first is called the "Castle Doctrine." This concept
enables a homeowner to defend himself, his family and his
property from an assailant. The bill allows for deadly force
when a burglar enters your home without fear of prosecution.
The second is so called "stand your ground" bills which were
first enacted in Florida in 2005. They are now being
considered in 21 other states. The bill allows citizens to
meet force with force to defend themselves if attacked in
public. This concept also protects would be victims from
prosecution.

are emboldened by the
thought that they can't be shot while pillaging the

These two concepts will put a long missing fear into the

than an occupational hazard. It comes with the territory of
being a criminal. Criminals have choices too, maybe now they
will think twice about making crime their career field.
